Predicted Score: Philadelphia Flyers 3-2

Preview: Two teams from the state of Pennsylvania will get together in Philadelphia on Thursday night. The Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers will both get together in preparation for the postseason.

The Penguins are currently the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with 92 points. They trail Philadelphia, and Washington – and sit behind Boston due to their divisional lead. If the postseason started today, the Penguins would host the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round. Pittsburgh has been hurting all season, losing top scorer Sidney Crosby early in the season. The Penguins are still scoring 2.8 goals per game, and are allowing 2.4. Pittsburgh forward Matt Cooke has been suspended through the first round of the playoffs for throwing an elbow to the head of a New York Rangers player.

The Flyers come in as the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia look to get back to the Stanley Cup Finals; after losing last season to the Blackhawks. Philadelphia fell Tuesday night at home to the Washington Capitals. The Flyers are the third best offensive team; scoring 3.2 goals per game. Philadelphia is led by right wing Claude Giroux, who has 44 assists and 24 goals.

Our prediction for this game: Philadelphia wins at home. Flyers 3-2.
