Expert Picks: Make a Profit During the March Madness!

Preview: On Friday, the Marquette Golden Eagles will look to win their third straight games, as they take on the North Carolina Tar Heels. Marquette, after finishing 11th in the Big East, was the last team in the conference to make the tournament.

Once the NCAA tournament started, the Golden Eagles knocked out both Xavier and Syracuse to reach the Sweet 16. The Golden Eagles have been a solid offensive team, scoring 76.1 points per game, 32nd best in the country. The two main scorers for Buzz Williams’ team are Jimmy Butler and Darius Johnson-Odom. The two are combining for nearly 32 points per game. Marquette is playing in their 29th NCAA tournament. They hold a 36-29 record all-time, and are seeking their fourth trip to the Final Four. The only national title for Marquette came back in 1977.

The North Carolina Tar Heels come into the game, as winners of 11 of their last 12 games. After winning the ACC regular season title, the Tar Heels were downed by Duke in the title game. Since then, the tar Heels scored 102 against Long Island, and another 86 against Washington. Harrison Barnes has emerged as the leading scorer for North Carolina; with 15 points per game. Tyler Zeller is also a beast for the Tar Heels offense, scoring 14.5 points pre game. The Tar Heels are in their 42nd NCAA tournament, and will be looking for their 19th trip to the Final Four. The Tar Heels won it all in 2009, which was their fifth NCAA title.

Our picks for this game: Too much North Carolina. Roy and the boys win this one 80-65.
