Connecticut Huskies (28-9) @ San Diego State Aztecs (34-2)

Betting odds: Available at Oddsmaker

Preview: On Thursday, the Connecticut Huskies and San Diego State Aztecs will get together in the Sweet 16. Both teams are coming off two wins over the weekend to move on in the tournament. Connecticut downed Bucknell and Cincinnati, while San Diego State picked up wins over Northern Colorado and Temple.

The Huskies are led by All-American Kimba Walker. Walker is scoring 23.5 points per game, and has been the leading scorer in their last seven games. Before the NCAA tournament, Connecticut won five straight games in five days to win the Big East tournament.

In their 29th NCAA tournament, Connecticut is seeking their fourth trip to the Final Four. For San Diego State, they are now two wins away from their first ever trip to the Final Four. The Aztecs tied with Brigham Young at the top of the Mountain West Conference, but then knocked the Cougars off in the conference tournament.

San Diego State needed double overtime to down Temple in the third round. The win for the Aztecs was their seventh straight overall. San Diego State is led in scoring by Kawhi Leonard is the leading scorer and rebounder. Leonard is scoring 15.4 points per game and grabbing 10.7 rebounds per game.

Our prediction for this game: Connecticut stays hot, and is just too much for the Aztecs. Connecticut wins 77-71.
